The sleigh-shaped crib is gorgeous and makes it stand out from other cots. It's also very easy to take your baby in and out, which is another big plus. It's a little more expensive than other cots however, our panel of experts thought it was worth the cost for the design and durability.

The cot bed is available in two different the finishes of country pine or walnut and is suitable from birth. It comes with three mattress heights, so you can start your child starting with the base raised up so that they can easily access them throughout the day and at the night, and then lower it as they grow. Silver Cross' westport design is another cot with a solid feel and is constructed to last. It can be used from birth as a cot, later as a toddler bed, and then an adult bed. (Toddler guard rail is available separately). Our panel found it difficult to convert from cot to bed, but their other half thought it was a doddle and took less than five minutes to complete. It's also slightly more expensive than other cots but it's the kind of style you'd likely like to keep and use for your children as they grow.
